The service is quite British, and for a five-star hotel, the basic service quality is up to par. The hotel's soundproofing is excellent. York isn't a large city, so staying here allows you to visit all the attractions. I've seen other reviews mentioning the deposit refund process can be lengthy, so I'm a little concerned.

This is a classic hotel. We stayed an extra day. The air conditioning was very comfortable. The staff were all very nice, and the parking guy was very polite. The management was very good, organized, and always responsive to any questions. The service was excellent! Parking is 35 pounds a day. The hotel is right outside the Old Town, and York Minster is five minutes away. It's very convenient. There are also several Chinese restaurants across the street, and the food is quite delicious.
